1. What is a cookie?
A cookie or tracker is a small piece of data stored in your browser when visiting a website. It can be used to enable features, remember user preferences, or measure website audience when accepted by the user.
2. Cookie categories used on this site
The Komit website uses two categories of cookies and similar technologies:
- Necessary cookies : essential for site operation, authentication, or storing your cookie preferences.
- Audience measurement : Google Analytics 4, only upon prior consent, to analyze aggregate website usage and improve content and performance.
Necessary cookies are always active. Google Analytics is disabled by default and will not be activated without explicit consent.
3. Necessary cookies
Komit stores your cookie preferences in browser local storage under the key komit_cookie_consent. This storage contains no personal user data.
It only stores the consent version, necessary cookie status, Google Analytics preference, and timestamp. It remembers preferences for 183 days.
The site may also store language preferences and use Firebase Authentication local storage to preserve login sessions when a user connects.
4. Google Analytics
Google Analytics 4 is provided by Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC. On this site, the measurement ID is G-X3XWLDSHJQ.
Google Analytics is used strictly for aggregate audience statistics: page views, user navigation, content engagement, and overall performance. Advertising, remarketing, and ad personalization features remain disabled.
Prior to consent, Google Consent Mode sets analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data, and ad_personalization to denied. Only upon approval does analytics_storage change to granted.

Depending on updates by Google, legacy measurement identifiers may be cleared upon refusal. They are not intentionally created by any other integration in the project.
5. Duration and withdrawing consent
Your consent choice is stored for approximately six months. The current version is 1.0. If expired or updated, Komit will request consent again.
You can accept, reject, or update your choice at any time via the Manage cookies link in the footer. Rejecting cookies does not restrict access to the site.
